Austria & The Sound Of Music

Day 1

After joining the coach at your selected pick up point, we will check in at Stena Line for the 07.30hrs crossing from Belfast to Cairnryan. You can now sit back and relax in the comfort of our coach as we travel , with comfort stops on route, to Kingston Upon Hull. We will check in for the evening ferry from Hull to Rotterdam where your evening meal & inside cabin (bunks) are included in our package. An overnight cruise then to Europoort in the Netherlands.

Day 2

After an early breakfast we disembark and begin our European journey.
We'll make our way across the Netherlands heading south with comfort stops on route.
We'll then cross into Germany as we travel towards Mercure Mannheim am Friedensplatz for our overnight stop.

Day 3

From Manheim we begin our journey across the boarder and down in to Austria.
Accommodation: 3-star Brueckenwirt Hotel

Day 4

This morning we take the short journey to the lakeside village of hallstatt one of the prettiest and most photographed villages in Austria. Here 16th century apline pastrel painted houses cling precariously to a narrow strip of land between the mountain and the lake. Enjoy the market square with the opportunity to sit outdoors and enjoy the amazing views.

Day 5

Today we visit Salzburg “The Sound of Music” City, home of the Van Trapp family and also the birthplace of Mozart. Dominated by the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress, blessed with an awe inspiring cathedral and baroque domed churches - there is much to delight the visitor. Not forgetting Mozart’s square and the elegent Mirabell Gardens.

Day 7

A scenic journey takes us into the heart of the long Hohe Tauern National Park along the Glossglockner Apline High Road to Austrias Highest Mountain. A formidable scene unfolds of glaciers, mountain summits, rare plants and animals - enjoy the views form the sun terrace of the Glocknerkeller Restaurant. Half Day

Day 8

Retrace our steps back to Germany for our overnight stop at Mercure Mannheim am Friedensplatz

Day 9

Today it's time to begin our journey home. We'll load the coach after breakfast and say our good-byes.
We'll travel towards Europoort where we must check-in for our overnight cruise back to Hull. (comfort stops will be made on route)

Day 10

After our onboard breakfast we’ll disembark and begin the last stages of our journey homeward bound.
We'll travel across country with comfort stops as we move toward Cairnryan for the 19:30hrs ferry back to Belfast.
