Day 1:
Glasgow
Following our pick-ups this morning we will travel to the Stena Terminal, Belfast for the 07.30hrs ferry to Cairnryan. We will have a short comfort stop as we make our way up to the busy city of Glasgow. Upon our arrival in Glasgow, we will drop off as close to Buchanan Street Bus Station as possible. We then have free time to shop and explore the city at leisure. Decorated for the festive season, the shop displays will be doing their best to tempt us in. We will depart Glasgow and journey the short distance out to our hotel. We will be based at Stepps near Glasgow for 2 nights dinner, bed & breakfast at the Best Western 3-star Garfield House Hotel. Time to chill, put your feet up and recharge for another day and another shopping spree tomorrow.
Day 2:
Following a hearty breakfast, we will travel to Scotland’s largest, and capital city, Edinburgh. It remains one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country attracting thousands of visitors each year. Its variety of shops, museums, restaurants and pubs will all be brightly lit up to tempt us in. Free time to shop and explore at leisure. We will depart Edinburgh and travel back towards our hotel with a short stop just off the A9 at what has become one of Scotland’s most popular landmarks - the Kelpies. These sculptures, which were unveiled in April 2014, are the largest equine sculptures in the world. Made of structural steel with a stainless steel cladding these vast monuments are an impressive sight, standing at over 30- metres in height, and an intriguing sight when all lit up. We will stop for a quick photo opportunity. Time then to rest our weary feet before dinner.
Day 3:
Depart Hotel: 09:00hrs
Time to begin the journey home. We will retrace our journey homeward bound making comfort stops en-route. Refreshed and ready to move on, we will proceed to Cairnryan where we must check in for the 15:30hrs ferry home to Belfast. All too soon it is time to say our ‘good-byes.’
