Day 1:

Departure Day
Following our pick-ups this morning we will travel south towards Dublin, making a short stop at the Applegreen Services (Euros recommended). We will continue our journey to Dublin Port where we must check in for the 14:45hrs Stena ferry to Holyhead, North Wales. This crossing takes approximately 3½ hrs after which we will move swiftly on to our destination for an expected time of arrival of 19:00hrs. We’ll be staying at the 3-star Tynedale Hotel which is centrally located on Llandudno's iconic Victorian promenade. A lovely location for our holiday.

Day 2:

Betws-y-Coed and Caernarfon
Our excursion today will take us to the picturesque village of Betws-y-Coed which is set in a beautiful valley in the Snowdonia Forest Park. We'll have a break here before moving on through Llanberis and down to Caernarfon. Caernarfon has a superb setting with the mountains of Snowdonia as a backdrop and wonderful views across the Menai Strait to Anglesey. The town is home to the mighty Caernarfon Castle built in the 13th Century by Edward I as a royal palace and military fortress. Hence its Royal links. Free time to enjoy the royal town.

Day 3:

Llangollen and The Dee Valley
Today our excursion will take us to the popular tourist destination of Llangollen in North East Wales, which is set on a stretch of the Dee Valley. As we approach Llangollen, we will see views of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Trains, monuments & Castell Dinas Bran - the medieval castle which is rumoured to have links with the legend of King Arthur, are all places of interest in Llangollen. Here we will have free time to explore at our own pace.

Day 4:

Great Orme and Llandudno
Today we will be experiencing the climb of the Great Orme Tram to heights where we can view the lovely Llandudno Bay from a new perspective. The journey begins at Victoria Station and following a half-way change of tram, we climb to the Summit where we can disembark. Free time then to visit the exhibition at the Summit or grab a snack at the Summit Complex kiosk. Enjoy the breath-taking views which, on a clear day, stretch as far as the Isle of Man, Blackpool and the Lake District! Following our cable car experience, we can then have free time to explore our host town.

Day 5:

Homeward Bound
Today we must take our last glimpses of the beautiful Llandudno coastline as it is time to begin the journey home. We will travel to Holyhead where we will be able to avail of the ‘Duty Free’ shopping before we check-in for the 15:15hrs ferry for a leisurely crossing back to Dublin. After disembarkation we will begin our journey north. We will make a quick comfort stop at the Applegreen Services (Euros recommended) before we move on and cross the border into the North. And as we make the last stages of our journey together it is time to reminisce with our friends and say our fond farewells.

The Tynedale Hotel is centrally located on Llandudno’s iconic promenade, only 20 metres from the beach and just a pleasant level stroll to the beautiful, well-preserved pier, theatre, and shops.
