Then we will head off the beaten track and join an unforgettable journey along Scotland’s west coast on the spectacular Jacobite Steam Train. Day 1
Following our pick-ups, we will proceed to Belfast for the 07.30hrs Stena crossing to Cairnryan. We’ll make comfort stops and have a lunchtime break as we travel north along the Ayrshire coast, and inland by-passing Glasgow and on through Alexandria. Refreshed and ready to move on we can sit back and enjoy the magnificent scenery as we travel along the shores of Loch Lomond, up through Glencoe and through the highlands to Fort William. We are due to arrive at the 3-star Alexandra Hotel at approximately 17:30hrs. Time to relax and enjoy our break.
Day 2
Today we will make our way to Fort Augustus where will enjoy a cruise on Loch Ness. Sit back and relax for an hour or so, and make sure you have your camera handy in case you catch a glimpse of Nessie! Afterwards, we will have free time in Fort Augustus for a lunchtime stop. In the afternoon, we will move on to the Ben Nevis Distillery one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, which sits at the foot of Ben Nevis. Here we will have a guided tour with an opportunity to sample “a wee dram.” (Included in tour price).
Day 3
We leave the hotel this morning and travel the short distance to Oban. Nestled on the west coast and surrounded by miles of dramatic shores and beautiful countryside, the seaside town of Oban is a great place for a visit. Here we will have free time to explore at our own pace giving us time to enjoy this resort.
Day 4
This morning we will take a trip on the Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig, otherwise known as the “Hogwarts Express” from the Harry Potter movies. It is thought to be one of the most beautiful train rides in the world and passes across the Glenfinnan Viaduct, so ample amazing opportunities for keen photographers. (Included in tour price)
Day 5
Time to depart and retrace our journey back via Glencoe and Callander, heading towards Cairnryan. We will make comfort stops and have a lunchtime break en-route as we travel homeward today. Time then to check-in for the 19:30hrs Stena Line ferry back to Belfast. Time to say our fond farewells

Explore the outdoor capital of the UK and the largest town in the Scottish Highlands when visiting Fort William. Not only is our hotel set on the shores of Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil we are also nicely placed a few minutes’ walk from the train station and Fort William high street.
